ESIC bandlyser CS:GO-spiller i to år

ESIC, eller Esports Integrity Coalition, har afsløret at de har bandlyst Conner "zonC" Huglin fra al eSport i to år frem til d. 9 maj 2019.

Grunden bag bandlysningen er at zonC har brugt koder som ikke er blevet set af VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) under Mettlestate Samsun Galaxy CS:GO Championship i denne måned. Han meldte sig selv skyldig, så en høring var ikke nødvendig. Han har senere undskyldt til Mettlestate.

ESIC-chefen, Ian Smith, har sagt:

"It is always disappointing when someone cheats and it gives me no pleasure to ban a player, but cheating cannot be tolerated in esports - it fundamentally undermines the integrity and credibility of our industry. I hope this demonstrates that ESIC will deal quickly, decisively and proportionately with cheats following a fair process."
