Crash Team Racing får mikrotransaktioner

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled udkom i sidste måned, og var et remake af det originale kart racing spil med Crash Bandicoot og venner. Nu har Beenox og Activision Blizzard afsløret, at Back N. Time Grand Prix starter d. 2. august - altså på fredag.

Det vil være gratis for spillere med en internetforbindelse. Det vil kaste dem tilbage til præ-historiske tider, og har nye karakterer, skins, karts, customisation muligheder og en ny bane kaldet Prehistoric Playground.

Med det nye Grand Prix kommer også nye belønninger, du kan blandt andet få the Nostalginator og Mammoth Kartene, et "Dashing" Fake Crash skin, og Cave Painting klistermærker. Klarer du bronze tier af Nitro Gauge får du også Baby T.-karakteren.

Og der er i det hele taget en masse indhold og forandringer.

Det er dog en anden nyhed, der har stjålet billedet. Der vil nemlig komme mikrotransaktioner til Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled.

"As always, the Pit Stop will be stocked with new and returning characters and cosmetic items, which players can unlock using Wumpa Coins With all this content available, there will also now be a way for players to fast-track their Wumpa Coin collection if they like. Starting in early August, players will have the option to purchase Wumpa Coin bundles from their game console stores to supplement the Coins they earn by playing. This option won't change the game's core mechanics - players will still earn Wumpa Coins by playing the game in any mode, just as before. They will just able to purchase additional coins if they choose."

Udviklerne gør meget ud af at understregem at der ikke vil være pay-to-win elementer med de nye mikrotransaktioner. Alligevel har en del fans givet udtryk for deres utilfredshed.
