A Plague Tale: Innocence var et ret stort eventyr, særligt taget i betragtning af at det var en helt ny IP. Det spil var cirka 10-12 timer langt, og med det kommende A Plague Tale: Requiem har Asobo Studio udvidet ambitionsniveauet. Det er nemlig cirka 50% længere.
Det er blevet afsløret af designer Kevin Pinson i et interview med Play Magazine (via MP1st), at spillet er mellem 15 og 18 timer. Desuden slår han fast at der ikke er nogen "filler":
"It's about pacing, there's no filler, there's no trying to make it longer because we needed to. Our publisher Focus Interactive encourages us to do the length that we want to do for the game for the story we want to tell.
So we're not aiming for a specific amount of hours. This is not something that we take into account when we first design the game. We are a small team of 70 people so we have to be really drastic about our choices."
